Dermatologist

Drew Anderson, M.D. knew from an early age that he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a physician.  Initially he had his sights set on Family Medicine, but realized that Dermatology encompassed all the things he enjoyed most about medicine.  Namely, combining medical care, surgical care, and pathology.  Dr. Anderson has special interests in medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, and dermatopathology.  He is the co-owner of Lifetime Skin Care Centers and an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Indiana University School of Medicine.  In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Anderson teaches residents and medical students in the classroom and in his office.

During his time in the Air Force, he started and managed a dermatology clinic at his base hospital, offering dermatologic care to active-duty members and their dependents.  After completing his military service, Dr. Anderson completed a residency in dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, and a fellowship in dermatopathology at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Anderson is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatopathology, and the Indiana Academy of Dermatology where he served as president from 2018-2020.  He has been active in advocacy for both the American Academy dermatology and Indiana Academy Dermatology at the state and national levels.  Dr. Anderson also served as a member of Senator Mike Braun’s Healthcare Advisory Committee from 2019 until his election as Indiana governor in 2024.

Dr. Anderson’s outside interests include watersports, world travel, spending time with his wife, adult children, and grandchild.  He is also a licensed commercial pilot and a certified flight instructor.  When he isn’t in the office, he is likely flying the plane his granddaughter has named “Bluey”.
